According to documents obtained by the Wall Street Journal, rapper Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson III has just filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. Court papers filed this morning (July 13) at the U.S. Bankruptcy office in Hartford, CT, reported that Mr. Jackson has debts and assets ranging from $10 million to $50 million. Back in May Forbes reported that the Southside Jamaica, Queens emcee had a net worth of $155 million.

The filing comes right after Fifty was ordered to pay a five million dollar settlement over a leaked sex tape. Jackson and his attorneys have yet to comment on the filing.
